Chocolate is a very interesting food. Reason being is because of how it is formed from cocoa beans, that come from cacao pods, grown on cacao trees...
Chocolate has a few types: dark, milk and white chocolate. It is used in a variety of ways, especially in the hospitality industry. For front of house staff, they will most likely being using it in its powdered form, mixed with milk to create the hot chocolate beverage. For chefs, it could be used to flavour or coat various confections and bakery products.
Through creating this module, I have learned how complex the process of production is for chocolate, as well as how fascinating the history is. Chocolate has been around for a very long time, and used in ways we might never of thought of. You will uncover more through the video style PowerPoint Module, where we will cover: the deep history, the process of production, associated tasting notes, where it comes from and much more.
Throughout the video, you are instructed when each slide is ready to move on to the next, with a pause icon that will pop-up on the side.
